Jean-Luc CARON est un passionné d’arts contemporains et du nightclubbing.
Après avoir débuté comme DJ en Province, il rejoint la capitale pour les « Beaux Arts » en 1986.
Il fréquente le Palace, haut-lieu de la scène clubbing parisienne. Il y sera par la suite barman puis responsable du bar, ce qui l’amènera également à débuter l’organisation des soirées Acid House en province : « PYRAMID » et « FANTASIA ». Son goût prononcé pour l’art et le design l’amènent à présenter en parallèle une exposition de lampes sur le thème des atomes.
Après deux saisons passées à Ibiza, au contact des plus grands organisteurs de soirées, Jean-Luc travaille sur un nouveau concept: « FLUID ». Mélange d’arts contemporains, d’installation, live painting , live show, décor et House Underground dans une ambiance gay et happy.
Plusieurs DJs renommés ainsi qu’un artiste d’arts contemporains et des performers sont invités à chaque évènement et font le succès de cette soirée implantée au Queen en 1998.
Jean-Luc travaille alors avec différents artistes dans le but de réaliser de l’art graphique sous forme de flyers illustrant l’image et l’esprit de ses soirées.
En juin 1999, pour le premier anniversaire de « FLUID », il expose une série de flyers et de photos au STONEWALL. Il crée alors l’association ARTIFIZZ afin de présenter sa première grande exposition: « ILLICIT FICTION » (transformation de la soirée « FLUID » en exposition sur le thème de l’interdit).
Face au succès rencontré, il développe le concept Art Clubbing.
En 2000, Jean-Luc crée « PINK 75 » au Folie’s Pigalle: chaque flyer représente un monument de Paris en rose tel une carte postale. Ce flyer numéroté devient rapidement un collector. Suite aux 3 années de cette soirée, les flyers forment une collection qui sera présentée sous un autre format, lors d’une prochaine exposition.
Depuis 2001, Jean-Luc présente plusieurs photos d’artistes et de son travail pour la mensuelle au Queen : « BODY BUMPER » : Show, sexe, musique et ambiance gay reflètent l’esprit de cette soirée confirmée.
En 2003, au Rex Club, Jean-Luc présente avec l’artiste d’arts contemporains G.WEN (Galerie Rachlin Lemarie) une nouvelle soirée Electro Post Modern Punk: « ROXY ROCKY ». Pour créer une ambiance décalée sous forme de vernissage Rock, ils font appel à des groupes Electro de la scène britannique comme TRASH PALACE ou encore ADD’N TO (X) . Des selectors sont invités à prendre les platines comme l’équipe du Palais de TOKYO. Au cours de ces soirées, différents artistes font des performances comme Arnaud LABELLE-ROJOUX (Galerie LOEVENBRUCK).
En parallèle, pour répondre à une clientèle toujours plus pointue, Jean-Luc crée un nouveau concept à la Scène Bastille : « MAN MACHINE » : soirée futuriste, live video show sur un son Tribal house progressive, devenue incontournable pour la clientèle branchée.
En avril 2004, au Club79, lieu jusqu’alors inconnu pour les habitués du clubbing gay, Jean-Luc se lance le pari d’un nouvel after : « UNDER », élue aujourd’hui « Meilleure soirée gay parisienne »…
En 2005, Jean-Luc CARON alias John DIXON s’unit à Raf FENDER pour créer le groupe « Sens Division ».
Ils parcourent l’Europe pour jouer dans les meilleurs clubs et sur les plus grands évènements.
Ils jouent à la célèbre Greenkomm de Cologne, au Cockpit, au Joystick à Amsterdam, à la Love Ball de Barcelone et Bruxelles comme Résidents.
Désormais Sens Division joue, produit et compose ses propres morceaux, distribués sous le label TOKAMAC / RPO Records.
Ses deux premiers titres, « Line 1 » et « Song of Peace », sortis en 2006, sont un succès.

Préparation d’un premier album…
Jean Luc Caron's passions are contemporary art and night clubbing.
He began as a DJ in Province, France.
He then moved to Paris to learn more about “Les Beaux Arts” in 1986. He attended the Palace(Paris) very often, which at the time was the most famous club in Paris. He later worked at the Palace as a bartender. Jean-Luc Caron was soon promoted to bar manager within a few months.
He organized two famous parties which are known for their Acid House music, “Pyramid” and “Fantasia”. His passion for art and design lead him to showcase his talents in an exhibition about lights and atoms.
He spent two seasons in Ibiza(Spain) socializing and networking with party producers and creators. He created a new concept, “Fluid”, which was a mix of contemporary art, decor, live painting and shows in conjunction with Underground House music for the gay community. In 1998, “Fluid”, which took place at the Queen(Paris), became a huge success. “Fluid” had three important ingredients that made it a success: the best DJs; the best artists; and the best performers. This trinity led to amazing shows whenever “Fluid” was held at the Queen.
Jean-Luc Caron then decided to work with different artists to create a new graphic art form using flyers. These flyers were used to demonstrate Jean-Luc Caron’s vision and moods through the use of colors and graphics.
In June 1999, after about a year using these flyers, Jean-Luc Caron organized an exhibition at the Stonewall(Paris) with flyers and pictures taken from many of his previous parties.
He soon decided to form “Artifizz”, a company aimed at promoting his first big exhibition called “Illicit Fiction”. It was meant to break all rules. As was the case with his previous engagements, Jean-Luc Caron’s “Illicit Fiction” was followed by an instantaneous success. At this time, he wanted to further develop and translate the idea of art clubbing into something unique and special.
In 2000, Jean-Luc Caron created “Pink 75” at the Folie’s Pigalle(Paris). On each of the flyers there appeared a different parisian monument colored in pink. These flyers resembled funny postcards, were individually numbered, and quickly became collectors items. Three years later, these flyers were amassed into a single collection and would soon be the subject of a new exhibition.
Since 2001, Jean-Luc Caron has presented many photographs taken by artists and himself for the celebration of his new monthly party at the Queen called “Body Bumper”. It consisted to a mix of live shows, music, sex, and members of the gay community.
In 2003 at the Rex Club(Paris), Jean-Luc Caron collaborated with the artist G. Wen, a contemporary artist who has shown at the Rachlin Lemarie Gallery, to create a brand new party entitled “Roxy Rocky”. It featured Electro Post-Modern Punk music. “Roxy Rocky” became known for its rock exhibitions where electro bands from the British scene would come to perform. Trash Palace and Add’n to X were to two such bands that performed at “Roxy Rocky”. Others were invited to mix, such as The Tokio Palace Team.
During the parties, many other types of artists also performed, as Arnaud Labelle-Rojoux, who has shown at the Loevenbruck Gallery.
To satisfy the growing demands of clubbers, Jean-Luc Caron created a brand new concept at La Scène Bastille(Paris) that was known as “Man Machine”. You would find the following at “Man Machine” every Friday night: futurism, live video shows, and Tribal House and Progressive music. Once again, this party was an instantaneous success.
In April 2004, Jean-Luc Caron found a new venue to feature his latest vision of art clubbing. “Under”(“The Gay Morning Club”) is his latest creation. It is an after hours party that still takes place once a month on Sunday at the Club79(Paris). “Under” was recently voted "Best Gay After Hours" in Paris.
In 2005, the two DJs RAF FENDER and Jean Luc Caron (alias JOHN DIXON) united to create the Parisian duet “Sens Division”.
They are now still touring the underground scene throughout Europe.
They also mix very often at the legendary parties “Greenkomm” and “Cockpit” in Cologne, “Joystick” in Amsterdam, the Love Ball in Barcelona…
Jean Luc Caron is now not only a DJ but also a composer.
He recorded and released in 2006 his two very first maxi-singles: “Line1” and “Song of Peace” (TOKAMAC / RPO Records).
